As a receptionist you will serve an important role in making our clients feel welcome, and providing them with uncompromising care from the moment they enter our offices.
You will be responsible for coordinating the flow of client care in a private practice setting, greeting and orienting clients at check in, obtaining updated demographic information, attending to any alerts, collecting co-payments and scheduling follow up appointments.
Also performs clerical functions such as answering the phones, coordinating therapists appointments and managing the electronic medical record.
Duties and Responsibilities Greets clients promptly, interacting in a professional and compassionate manner Managing phone calls by assisting clients or transferring calls to other departments, collects co-payments, schedules appointments, updates client demographics and insurance information, maintains the schedules of multiple therapists.
Responsible for intake preparation prior to initial session Maintains professional behavior, confidentiality and discretion at all times, along with the ability to work with all levels of staff with a confident and professional demeanor.
Navigate electronic medical records by inputting client information, communicating with other staff.
Processing transactions and balancing client charges Assist in managing insurance and billing information Required Qualifications Previous office receptionists experience required.
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) Computer knowledge, including electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office.
Above average communication skills (oral and written) Positive attitude Be able to multitask Be very well organized/detail oriented.
Know how to prioritize/manage time effectively Strong work ethic This individual must also present a professional appearance in grooming, attire, along with the ability to interact positively with visitors, clients, and staff.
